[OOC] Fashion Thread

Okay so I have this thing where when I'm role playing that I bust open Polyvore and go to town. Most of the outfits I make are cut up and pasted together in photoshop... so sometimes I can spend hours and days on outfits. I have a few put together already because I was trying to come up with something for her to wear on her date on Friday, and well one outfit became three, then three was heading toward nine... so...

man I'm prattling on. THE POINT IS. Here is a thread where I will post up pictures of outfits I've put together that Rin would wear. :3 Feel free to comment on them if you want! I will add more as they are made. :3

I never realized how much I used my MagiCell until this week. I can't imagine what it must be like for those of you that send text messages all day long. At least we have these journals, eh? I've been too busy this past week to keep up with them, but now that I'm done with all my assignments I'll try to spend some time reading back to see what I've missed. I hope that everyone did well in their classes and has had a good year so far regardless of all the bad news.

Thank you everyone that voted for me on the poll. ^_^ I am very flattered that so many people took notice of how I dress. Also, congratulations to everyone else that was recognized for their hard work and talent.

I'm really excited for the Drama auditions. I've done a little reading and research to help me prepare for the part, and I am very confident that this time I will get the part that I want. The last play was so much fun, and I wish I had gotten involved with the club sooner. Good luck to everyone that will be going to the auditions!

I was thinking of starting back up the study group, if people are interested. Does anyone have suggestions over which day and time would be best? I would have done this sooner, but the last two weeks went by really fast. I wonder if that is how the rest of the year will be? It's almost hard to believe that in another couple of months I'll be graduating and moving on to taking the first great step of my life as an adult.

December 27th, Entry 9.

[Hexed for everyone to see except for Yuki and Shinobu]

Thanks everyone that came to the party! I appreciate that everyone took the dress code seriously because I loved how everyone looked inside the decorated rooms. And if you were forced to follow the dress code shame on you I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves because I know that I am still reeling by how much fun I had. I wish that I could turn 18 more often. :3

I don't remember how many people took pictures, but if you have any can you please send copies to me? I'm building a collection so that I can try making a scrap book, because I figured I should take advantage of how quiet the house is going to be for the next week. I can't believe that both my parents were called out of town for work until the 4th! They tried to make it up to me with spending Christmas day with me but still I'm only here for two weeks!, but it just sucks that both of them had to leave.

Though... it is nice not having them around keeping tabs on where I'm going. Claire, Cheri & Caroline already planned for us to have a girl's night in Paris on the 29th and I'm really excited about it. It has been a very long time since I've seen Paris at night. ♥

I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check journals until next week... so I hope everyone has a good end of their year and an even better start on the next one.

December 11th, Entry 8.

I can't believe that I'll be turning 18th in less than two weeks. This past year has just rushed by so fast! I'm really excited about the party my parents are putting together, and the best part is that my father has promised me an original dress made by the up and coming fabulous French designer C'est la M! He drew up four designs for me to choose from... but it's such a difficult choice because I love them all! I was hoping that other people could help me by telling me which one you think I would look best in! Just tell me the letter of the design you like best! Please!

Magically transfered drawings! )

Because the party will be on my birthday that did push back the dinner I have with my parents every year to Christmas day... and even though I've had them take me to Paris the past four years, I've been thinking about going somewhere in Japan instead. Rie-san, Emi-san, Chi-san... do any of you know of a restaurant I should suggest to them?

Oh and if anyone has any questions about their invitation just let me know, okay?

[Private Nao-san]
Do you remember when I asked you about your group's karaoke set up? Do you think that all of you could get together and help set something like that up for my birthday party?

November 19th, Entry 7.

All the booths were great yesterday, although... I did miss a few of them. My mother told me she'd send back the pictures she took as soon as she gets them but I don't think she got very many. I'm sure I could trust that Shindou-san and Chen-san got a lot. Would either of you mind giving me copies?

I had an idea today that I should put together a photo album, and realized that I've never done one before. Mom is the one that made the scrap books, and it isn't that I think they're extremely difficult but they don't look easy either. Does anyone have a lot of experience making them? Could you give me some tips on how to start?

And I've seen others do it in their journals so I'll give playing a word game a try.

The game is Fortunately, Unfortunately. I'll start off with the first sentence and the next person has to tell something unfortunate that happens. The comment after that has to be a sentence that adds a fortunate event next. The one after that has to be something unfortunate again. And on and on it goes.

Hachi decided to make a snowman.

[Private to Self] )

It's been a while since I actually watched the sunrise, and I'm glad that I did. I just wish it hadn't been so cold this morning... but I guess that's how it's going to be now that feels like winter is settling in.

Who else is going to be playing in this weekend's Scrimmage game? Do we have to play our proper positions or can we try out something different? I was hoping to play as a Chaser or Keeper during a practice match if nobody else minded.

And I almost forgot, Thank you for the ice cream Angelo. Sorry that I didn't seem very appreciative last night but the thought was very sweet and I liked it. And ... were the Pringles from you too?

October 15th, Entry 6.

[OOC :The following entry was actually posted on Monday :3]

I'm really happy with our assignments for the next two weeks. Especially with what we're doing in Care of Magical Creatures and Charms. :) This is my first time seeing a Hippogriff, and it's not at all like I expected. I heard stories from the girls at my old school about their encounters with them... and they don't seem like the violent creatures that those girls made them out to be. I still don't know if I'm ready to get close to one yet... but... I'm a bit torn over if I want to ride one... it seems that it would be much like riding a horse but in the air. But... I probably should see how much it smells first. I'm just not sure about it yet.

I'm glad that we're finally going over undetectable extension charms! My knowledge of them is a little limited and I'm excited to learn how to perfect it in class. I read up on it a while back and messed around with the charm, but I usually had to have my mother check it for me... so it would be nice to be able to get it right every time. It's also great timing because I think something is wrong with the charm on my purse so it will be great to fix it. :3

Until further notice I'm not going to be showing up to the Study groups because I'm a little overwhelmed with things. I wish more people would show up to it and even though it doesn't need someone to manage it, if someone else would like to take over for me for a while I'd really appreciate it. I still want to continue the tutoring lessons with people that I've been working with privately, but we might have to just get together last minute whenever our schedules happen to match up.

September 16th, Entry 5.

I just realized that when I returned from summer break I didn't bring enough boots for my winter outfits. D: And thinking about it more I realized that getting another coat wouldn't hurt either. Since I don't have any classes on Saturday I was thinking that I could spend this weekend filling out my closet a little more. Anyone want to come with me? :)

[added later]

The shopping invite is for girls only! :)

August 18th, Entry 4.

I am a bit ashamed to admit that I have done a poor job of reading journals during my break. I'm sorry that I have been so neglectful and I'll try to catch up within the next couple of days. I sincerely hope that everyone is doing well and to those of you that I won't see until after the break is over... please be careful!

August 5th, Entry 3.

Well the beach trip wasn't a complete loss, and aside from some setbacks... it wasn't all that bad. Though I wish I hadn't lost those cute sky blue heels. I've been in and out of so many stores and can't seem to find a pair to replace them anywhere! :(

When I was telling my parents about the trip, Mom said it sounded like I was homesick and Dad said that maybe I should try camping more often so that it's not so jarring on me. Mother and I had a good laugh at his reaction when I said I would if he came along with me. Like he has any room to judge me when he can't even sit down for dinner without his cellphone in his hand. Heaven forbid he'd ever miss a call between servings of Naengmyeon. At least I know how to get him to drop the subject if he ever tries bringing it back up again.

Since I hardly had any signs of a tan... even though I spent so much time in the sun, I've been spending a lot of my time at Haeundae Beach. It feels like it's been years, but I know that I was here during my last school break... how can a place change so much in just a couple months? There's been a snowcone vendor near the boardwalk for years and I had no idea! And have there always been this many tourists out here? Maybe it's been this way for a while and I just haven't been paying much attention... but things just seem different somehow.

I really want to go to Paris before the summer break is over, but my parents are refusing to let me go by myself. And since neither of them can go with me... asgflkas! So far they've seen through all of my attempts to go... and my father even threatened to have my credit card blocked off if a charge comes in from anywhere further west than Seoul. D: I'm completely tapped out of ideas and was hoping that someone else had any ideas of what I should do. Anybody? I think that pretty much anything would be helpful at this point. :/

[OOC] What To Expect.

"NA HYO-RIN: you will fall madly in love with Takamatsu Keiichi, who happens to meet all the criteria you listed for your "perfect boyfriend.""

Firstly: Thank you mods for using the word 'madly' so that I have an excuse to have my character be batshit crazy.
Secondly: mwhahaha.

I expect to be in several logs during this, but I think it's important to notify everyone of how Hyo Rin will be acting and feel free to say that your character witnesses it in passing if we can't manage to do an actual scene.

In short, most people will probably find her behavior amusing at first, but then as time goes by it will start being less funny and more Fatal Attraction. Don't worry. She isn't going to be boiling rabbits or trying to kill people... but she will be well... mad.

Starting early Tuesday she would have spent each morning outside the Susanoo dorms waiting for Keiichi to walk him to breakfast. She will sit with him during all meals regardless if anyone pointed out that she was sitting with the wrong house, and if anyone was already sitting next to him, she would push herself in to sit next to him... and if it happens to be a girl sitting by him, that bitch just might end up shoved out of her seat so Hyo can sit there. Hyo would walk with him to each of his classes and as soon as she could, she would watch Kendo practice.

By Wednesday the presents would start, and Kei will very quickly find it difficult to keep up with the constant letters and packages that arrive. During mealtimes, twice during his classes and once late at night when he was about to go to sleep. From here I'm not sure how it will go because it really depends on his reactions how she'll act... but she will not stop pressuring him no matter his protests and by Thursday she will glare at any girl that talks to him, or gets close to him (including female teachers) and will treat him like a boyfriend whether he likes it or not. And he probably won't.

Chunsa will start to blame Keiichi for her wizard's strange behavior and act aggressively toward him which will result in a fight with Hyo Rin and the two steering clear of each other until Hyo Rin is back to normal.

If anyone wants to do a scene with her craziness let me know. :3 Oh right and any other boy that approaches her will get the cold shoulder because she'll only have her sight on Keiichi.

June 30th, Entry 2.

I had a good weekend, and I'm glad that I finished up all my work early because it was nice to relax the last few days of the week. I'll probably spend most of this next weekend cramming so that I can have all my assignments done before the 7th.

After I told my parents about Tanabata, my father arranged for a seamstress in town to make a Yukata for me, and my mother helped by picking out the style for me.

Magically transmitted picture )

Normally I don't like people picking out my clothes for me, but it seems that I got my taste for clothing from my mother because I absolutly love it and can't wait to wear it. I might just have to break it out a little early to wear it around my room when it's finished. :)

This week's study group will take place at the same place, time and days (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) but this time around there will be food and drinks. Does anyone have any suggestions of what they like?

Also I have one more request... if there is anyone that would be willing to help me learn Japanese, I'd really like to make some kind of arrangement. Say... you help me learn Japanese and I can offer some sort of tutoring of my own? If you can't speak Korean, or French (because I speak that as well)... we can work something out if you can just be patient with me. I promise that I am a fast learner. :>

June 22nd, Entry 1.

Hmmm. I'm not very good at making journal posts, am I?

I enjoyed the masquerade and was awed by how similar and wonderfully different it was from the balls I've been to in the past. All the girls were dressed beautifully and it was such a pleasant surprise to see boys dressed in something besides dress robes and tuxedos. Does anyone know if there will be another dance this year... will it have a theme? I really hope so!

The festival was fun and I thought our team's booth was a success even though we didn't win the recognition of the judges. Good job team Two! :D The origami butterflies were very cute, and the pinwheels were well made. I have the wind chime I bought hung outside my window and it sounds lovely when a soft breeze catches it. It was great working with all of you and I hope all of you will consider joining in the study group.

As for the study group, Ishida-sensei has offered the use of his classroom for our gatherings and will be available to supervise and answer questions if we need any extra help. We came up with a schedule of meeting Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for two hours before dinner and an additional hour afterward if needed. So that makes our first study group this Tuesday! I thought that our first meeting could be focused on Charms and Defense Against The Dark Arts, although if there is something you'd like to work on, I don't think it would be too hard to look over it too.

I need to finish up some work before the Quidditch match, so I probably will be hard to get in touch with until after the game, and I hope to see everyone there for a great game!

Study Group

Back at my old school we had several study groups that focused on an assortment of classes and I wanted to set up a study group that was similar. I was thinking the group would get together for a couple hours three times a week during the time after club meetings and before dinner, or maybe after dinner and before curfew? Everyone could bring in their assignments so we can work on them together, or we could just help each other out in general with problems we are having with our work.

I'll need to know how many people would be interested so I can start looking into where we can hold these study groups. I can help out with the classes I'm currently taking... but I'd really like to see people join that are taking other classes too.

Anyone that's interested... or if you have any questions please let me know. :)

[The following was added the next day meant as a mass response to everyone]

Wow! Thank you everyone for your encouragement and kind words! I hadn't expected so much interest from 6th years, but I don't see why we can't work together.

However, any students in 5th year or younger would be better off to form a study group of their own, perhaps even focus on preparing for your O.W.L.S? If you need assistance I would like to help any way I can.

For the rest of us, I will look for a good place for us to meet up and post a notice of when we can have our first gathering. :)

Attention! Reward in exchange for comics.

[ooc note: this message is also on posters set up by the entrances of each house were as many students can see it as possible.]

Fellow students,
I have heard the rumors about the comics circulated around the school that used the likeliness of several students, a few of which are members of my house. Pranks like these are offensive to the rest of us that are here because we are serious about our education and have no place here.

Before anyone else has to suffer from this, I am offering a considerable reward to whom ever can bring these comics to me so they can be properly disposed of. Also, anyone that can prevent something like this from occurring again will be compensated as well.

Sincerely, Na Hyo Rin of the Amaterasu house.
